Introducing Eden Yelverton: Empowering Women Through Expert Care at Her Health Clinic
I am excited to shine a spotlight on doctor Eden Yelverton, a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist who has recently opened her private practice, bringing her expertise and compassionate care to our community. Eden’s journey is fueled by a passion for helping women find freedom in their lives—whether it's through managing everyday challenges or addressing important health concerns with personalized gynecologic care.
With years of experience in both private practice and hospital settings, Eden is now embracing the opportunity to shape her own vision of healthcare, offering women a space where they feel valued, supported, and empowered.
Her Health is more than just a medical practice—it’s a welcoming and supportive environment where women can openly discuss their concerns and receive personalized care tailored to their unique needs. Whether it’s an annual exam, managing a specific health concern, or exploring advanced treatment options, Eden and her team prioritize preventive care and wellness, helping women make informed decisions about their health.
At Her Health, services are thoughtfully designed to provide comprehensive care, including:
Personalized Gynecologic Care – Tailored visits that address individual health concerns with additional services available as needed.
Pelvic Ultrasound – A valuable tool for screening or addressing pelvic concerns, easily added to any visit.
In-Office Hysteroscopy – A minimally invasive procedure to diagnose and treat uterine conditions such as abnormal bleeding and IUD removal.
Minimally Invasive Surgery – Advanced options, including robotic hysterectomy and fibroid removal, for faster recovery with minimal discomfort.
Specialized Testing – Including breast cancer gene testing and endometriosis evaluations to provide proactive and preventive healthcare.
I had the opportunity to sit down with Eden few times in the last six months and asked her questions about her journey, inspirations, and future aspirations. Read on to learn more about what drives her, the challenges she’s overcome, and her vision for making a positive impact in Sarasota and beyond.
The grand opening of Her Health, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held in partnership with the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance on January 28, 2025, from 4 PM to 6 PM. This special event will provide an opportunity for the community to meet Eden, tour the clinic, and learn more about the personalized care services offered.

What inspired you to start your own business?
I found freedom in my personal life, which inspired me to help other women discover their own freedom. Freedom can range from managing life’s challenges to undergoing gynecologic surgery to address a medical condition.
What inspires your work and sets you apart from others?
I am inspired by women. We are beautifully and wonderfully made, each created with a unique purpose. I want every woman I meet to be reminded of her intrinsic value and strength.
What is your background, and how did you develop the skills to start your business?
I am a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist. I graduated from medical school at the University of Mississippi and completed my OB/GYN training in Charlotte, NC. I’ve worked in both large private practices and as a contracted employee. Now, I’m thrilled to be opening my own private practice.
What has been your biggest success to date?
Every milestone in starting my business has felt like a major success, but the first day of seeing patients was especially rewarding. I wouldn’t say I’m completely past the startup phase, but I’m making progress every day!
What has been your biggest challenge?
Learning all the rules and requirements for starting a new medical business has been a significant challenge. There’s a lot to navigate, but it’s been a valuable learning experience.
Which small businesses inspire you?
I’m inspired by women-led businesses like Whole Health, Whole Health Pediatrics, and AH Coaching. These women are making a meaningful impact in the health and wellness world.
If you could go back to the beginning, knowing what you know now, what would you have done differently?
I would have told myself not to sweat the small mistakes. They’re part of the journey!
What’s your best advice for someone starting their own creative business?
Ask yourself, “What’s next?” rather than “What if?”
Share a fun fact about yourself that not many people know.
I’m a huge Formula One fan.
What do you love most about Sarasota?
Everything! The great people, delicious food, proximity to the beach and Disney—what’s not to love?
Which charities and non-profits do you support?
I support Bayside Community Church.
What are your favorite restaurants in town?
Libby’s on Lorraine Rd, C’est La Vie, and Station 400.
How do you define success?
For me, success is a daily effort, won or lost at the end of each day. I define it as loving deeply, serving wholeheartedly, doing the right thing consistently, finding peace through challenges, and focusing on what brings joy.
What’s the coolest project you’re working on right now?
I’m passionate about bringing awareness and building community for women with anxiety and/or depression. My ultimate goal is to host a conference featuring community leaders who can speak on mental health, overcoming challenges, and finding hope. Stay tuned—there’s more to come!
